Metropolitan Christian University is established for the purpose of providing quality and affordable Biblical/Theological Degree Programs for those who labor in Ministry. We are a Christian institution of higher learning. However, we subscribe to, practice, teach and preach the doctrines of the Christian Faith. Metropolitan Christian University is recognized as one of the official educational institution of the following church organizations/reformations:
- Apostolic Communion of Anglican Churches
- Apostolic Anglican Church of America
- Pentecostal Holiness Church of Christ
- The African Episcopal Church
- United Assemblies of Christ International
- United Baptist Church of America
Accreditation
Although the word “University,” may imply graduate training for higher institutional learning, MCU has been established for the sole purpose of issuing credentials to men and women as certified, licensed and ordained professional ministers. With this status we may train, as well as license, ordain and commission men and women in professional ministry through one of the affiliated church organizations/reformations..
Our emphasis is not to achieve secular accreditation, although we issue degrees for ministry purposes only. Our mission is to equip the minister with practical education for his/her ministry. We continue in this practical path as the means of fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
Metropolitan Christian University is accredited by non-secular, religious-based, non-governmental accrediting agencies that believe in and promote separation of church and state.
